Written Assignment: Company Choice And Literature Review
Your final paper in this course will be to analyze a company using the concepts from How the Mighty Fall. This assignment is the first step toward completing your Final Paper in Week 6. Think about a company that you are interested in researching. Conduct a preliminary literature search using ProQuest, EBSCOhost, or another library search engine. You may also want to research newspaper articles and more mainstream articles in business periodicals (e.g., Fortune, Harvard Business Review, Newsweek). Please remember that while analyzing a company is an applied assignment, it is still important to ground your analysis in reputable, peer-reviewed literature.
After some preliminary research, choose the company that you will analyze using the concepts in How the Mighty Fall. What interests you about his company? Provide at least 10 articles related to the company and why you believe it is in decline (or went through a period of decline). Some of the articles can be “mainstream” but at least five articles need to be peer-reviewed and more academically based (e.g., Academy of Management Journal, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, The Journal of Management Consulting).
The feedback you receive from this assignment will inform your decisions about your final paper.
