You have completed your Situational Analysis pitch and are working on your Creative Brief. Before you finish your team brief, use this week to research communication strategies from two of your most realistic competitors along with the what the brand you are studying is currently doing.
Study the two top competitors and what the brand you are pitching are doing communications wise. Pay attention to what their strategic message is:
If they advertise, show us an example or two (print, magazine, TV, videos, etc.).
Critique their digital media and website for a uniform message, visual strength, ability to navigate the personal experience to learn, shop or be entertained
Display some of their social media examples, and also any events/initiatives/CSR they may sponsor.
Analyze for Discussion: Was their communication integrated across all media?
What was their message strategy?
Was it effective enough to cause you or their customers to act?
Explain – what are your initial ideas as to your new campaign and your new message and positioning.
